Sendero Resources Advances Vicuña Belt Copper-Gold Targets Toward Drilling

Sendero Resources Advances Vicuña Belt Copper-Gold Targets Toward Drilling

CEO.CA
12 days ago 15:37

Key Highlights

detailed
  • The guest says Eldorado Gold held the entire block of ground — Sendero's plus the neighbors' — back in the 1990s.
  • He counts Eldorado among the major operators whose historical work at the property makes Sendero's rebuilt drill database credible.
  • He argues Eldorado's decades of technical reports and press releases amount to a blueprint, and that its roads give Sendero infrastructure it would otherwise have to pay for.

Sendero says cash on hand plus 12 million in-the-money warrants — exercisable at a profit today — fully fund its next drill program without dilution. A rebuilt database of 77 historical holes and 6,400-plus assays — from operators like Eldorado Gold and Anglo American — shows broad mineralized zones. The CEO argues shared faults, rocks, and pathfinder elements (geochemical clues to porphyry mineralization) link Sendero to its neighboring Vicuña belt discoveries. La Rioja cut Sendero's option terms — a $5 million cash payment dropped to $65,000, spend requirements to $5 million — for 100 percent ownership. Veteran mine builders Peter Moroney, Pat DiCapo, and Eduardo Elstain keep pro-rata positions, buy shares in the market, and advise management.

Building a 500,000-Ounce-a-Year Gold Producer | Patrick Downey - Orezone Gold

Building a 500,000-Ounce-a-Year Gold Producer | Patrick Downey - Orezone Gold

The Deep Dive
13 days ago 8:13

Key Highlights

brief
  • Downey lists Eldorado Gold among the neighboring operators around Orezone's Hava-Hosco project in the Cadillac-Larder break.

Orezone CEO Patrick Downey calls the past 12 months the best mining sentiment of his 40-year career, with good projects finally getting financed. Downey maps a path from about 230,000 ounces of annual gold production to roughly 500,000 ounces, pointing to Bomboré, Casa Berardi and the development pipeline. He argues the market gives zero value to Heva-Hosco in Quebec, where a 2012 feasibility study showed roughly 105,000 ounces a year over 14 years. The year ahead looks catalyst-rich: a Heva-Hosco study, drill results at Casa Berardi and Bomboré, and a life-of-mine study (a whole-mine plan). Downey says Orezone holds over $100 million in cash with little or no debt and would buy back stock if the discount persists.

John Florek of Emperor Metals Inc. talks to Jeff Clark | Metals Investor Forum Sept. 2026

Metals Investor Forum
18 days ago 11:30

Key Highlights

brief
  • Florek says Emperor is transferring the Duquesne West closure-plan liability from Eldorado Gold to Emperor, a file delayed several months by a Quebec government engineers' strike that pushed the timeline back a quarter or two.

Guest John Florek says AI grade-control models he built at Detour Lake moved 20% more gold to the mill, worth about $150 million a year. The same AI approach rebuilt Duquesne West's long-missing geological model in months, and management now targets tier-one scale (5 million ounces-plus). Quebec's under-capacity mills let the company skip building its own, saving $500 million to $1 billion and avoiding the debt that sank earlier juniors. Fresh drilling (66 holes, 20,000 metres) returned hits like 15 metres of 61 grams per tonne, and management sees open-pit grades near 2 grams. Lac Pelletier, delayed to end-2028 by a Quebec engineers' strike, targets 40,000 ounces a year, with a PEA (early mine-economics study) due for Duquesne West.

Luquman Shaheen of Panoro Minerals Ltd talks to Joe Mazumdar | Metals Investor Forum Sept. 2026

Metals Investor Forum
18 days ago 13:29

Key Highlights

brief
  • The guest cites Eldorado Gold as currently pushing the upper limit of dry-stack filter-press throughput, running around 25,000-30,000 tons per day at its Greek operations (Scurries), which is the throughput range Panoro is targeting at Cotabambas.

Panoro Minerals' Cotabambas now has a 222Mt high-grade core at 1.2% CuEq and strip ratio below one, enabling a smaller 30,000 t/d starter operation. Infill drilling grew the resource from 700Mt to a billion tons and defined a high-grade zone running from surface, reshaping project economics. Over a decade-plus of agreements with agrarian communities, private landowners, and the Cotabambas municipality underpin permitting where local consent is the main bottleneck. Dry-stack tailings, hydroelectric power from Abancay, and Apurimac River water access de-risk a future PFS expected by end of 2027. A 45,000-metre drill program (15,000m on new western targets) plus metallurgy work feed a resource update, PEA, and PFS through 2027.

Building the $500M-a-Year Gold Mine | Victor Cantore - Amex Gold Mining

Building the $500M-a-Year Gold Mine | Victor Cantore - Amex Gold Mining

The Deep Dive
20 days ago 12:15

Key Highlights

brief
  • The guest says Eldorado Gold owns 27% of Amex as an approved control person since June 2026, reading the size of the stake as a strategic endorsement of the project.
  • He describes Eldorado as a mid-tier producer running at roughly 500–600k oz/yr and heading toward ~1M oz/yr as Skouries and McIlvana Bay ramp up.

Amex Gold Mining is fully permitted for a 40,000-ton bulk sample at its Quebec Perron project, with capex covered before commercial production. The Champagne Zone averages 16 g/t gold over 774,000 ounces in a vertical orebody where gravity does the work. Phase One all-in sustaining costs land at US$910 per ounce, with payback inside six months once bulk sample revenue is included. Eldorado Gold holds 27% as a control person, signaling strategic validation from a mid-tier producer heading toward one million ounces annually. Quebec's hydroelectric grid plugs the project in at 5.5 cents per kWh, keeping power costs among the lowest in the world.

Lab Report | Sep 21 Deep Dives on Amex Gold, Radisson, Kingfisher, and Nine Mile Metals

CEO.CA
22 days ago 50:29

Key Highlights

brief
  • Eldorado Gold participated in Amex's roughly $80 million Canadian financing and holds a 27% interest, which the host lists among the company's positives.
  • Investor discussion speculates about a potential acquisition of Amex by Eldorado; the host hopes it does not happen so Amex can bring Perron into production itself.

Amex pushes Perron toward production: the dual-purpose decline serves a 40,000-ton bulk sample and phase-one mining, pulling development capital forward. Radisson keeps expanding bonanza-grade gold beneath the historic O'Brien mine — 68.24 grams per tonne over 6.2 metres — with Red Lake-style depth potential. Kingfisher hits visible gold beside its Hank porphyry — the heat engine of such systems — 8.8 metres of 20.33 grams gold plus silver and zinc. Nine Mile Metals drills two high-grade VMS zones (volcanogenic massive sulphide — metals deposited by ancient seafloor volcanoes) at the historic Wedge mine in New Brunswick. The host plots each junior on the Lassonde Curve — a stage map of mine development — weighing community sentiment, financings and strategic backers like Agnico Eagle.

AbraSilver Resource– A Series Of Key Project Milestones Achieved in 2026, Transitioning To Developer

The KE Report
about 1 month ago 25:03

AbraSilver has cleared its 2026 milestones with RIGI approval, environmental permits from both provinces, an updated MRE, and a DFS, fully transitioning Diablillos to active developer. The June DFS shows a 3B base case after-tax NPV at a 41.9% IRR and 20/oz AISC, placing Diablillos among the lowest-cost silver projects globally. A July 50M raise including a Kinross placement funds early works; a larger debt/stream package is targeted before year-end ahead of a Q2 2027 FID. New Executive Chair Marie Inkster, COO Jeremy Weyland, Project Director John Naisbitt, and Director Wendy Kaufman add construction expertise to the team. A Phase 2 PEA on heap leaching 130Mt of previously classified waste, plus throughput doubling studies, point to upside beyond the base case DFS.

Knock-On Effects Could Make This Worse Than The Dot-Com Bust | David Rosenberg

Adam Taggart | Thoughtful Money®

Key Highlights

brief
  • Mike Preston shows Eldorado Gold (EGO) had a 50% pullback from $50 to $25 before forming a cup and handle, and is watching for a breakout through $50.
  • EGO is part of the broader gold/silver miner basket that Preston expects could roughly double recent highs if cup-and-handle formations resolve.

Today's market setup could inflict more damage than the dot-com bust, because nearly every sector now correlates with one AI trade. Two fragile pillars prop up growth: AI data center capex and an equity wealth effect that has pushed the personal savings rate sharply lower. Rising real interest rates will likely compress equity multiples well before any earnings disappointment, Rosenberg argues. Bond yields may fall on a November 4 Treasury refunding shift, despite the hawkish turn from new Fed chair Kevin Warsh. Rosenberg's new ROSY ETF launches September 9 on the TSX via Corton Capital, anchored in commodities, healthcare, and global equities.

A $549M BET ON AUSTRALIA | OceanaGold x AusGold

A $549M BET ON AUSTRALIA | OceanaGold x AusGold

The Deep Dive

Key Highlights

brief
  • Guiding 540k oz production, just ahead of OceanaGold in the mid-tier ranking
  • Guides 640-740k oz by 2028 on Skouries, narrowing the gap with the rest of the peer pack

OceanaGold acquires AusGold for $549M, gaining Katanning — a Western Australia open-pit gold project — as its fifth asset. All-stock deal at a 44% premium to AusGold 20-day VWAP; first gold slips from AusGold 2028 target to 2029. Katanning economics: 10.3-year mine life, 1.2Moz recovered, AISC near $1,590/oz, $354M pre-production capex, 1.1 g/t grade. Value hinges on re-rating from developer 0.4x NAV to producer 0.7x NAV — a ~1.7x lift on identical ounces. OceanaGold trades at ~$11,500 per guided ounce versus Lundin Gold $32,000 and Alamos Gold $26,100 — the gap the deal aims to close.

This Copper - Gold District Is 5x the Size of Toronto | Gary Thompson - Brixton Metals

The Deep Dive

Brixton (BBB) is converting five years of Thorn Project drilling into updated and maiden resources at Camp Creek and Trapper during 2026. BHP's 19.9% strategic stake reflects conviction in a complete district-scale porphyry system at Thorn, not just one discovery. The Catalyst porphyry returned 424 metres of 0.3% copper-equivalent from surface with a 1-to-1 copper-to-gold ratio, and 2026 drilling will hunt for a higher-grade core. Thorn sits roughly 50 kilometres from the nearest road; the team estimates 50-60 kilometres of new road would unlock road access to the deposits.

Brixton Metals Hits Ultra High Grade Silver at Langis Project

The Gold Bull

Key Highlights

brief
  • The host notes Brixton has optioned its Atlan gold project to Eldorado Gold for a 100% earn-in.

Brixton Metals hit ultra-high-grade silver at Langis: 5,015 g/t (grams per tonne) over 20 meters, among the best intercepts the presenter has seen. The stock rose 24.6% on the news; the presenter, who discloses owning shares, expects more assay results from Langis and Camp Creek. A drill program on Langis tailings (mine waste) targets a quickly permitted Ontario reclamation project with near-term cash flow potential. Ten thousand meters of drilling at Thorn in British Columbia aims to expand a 21.5-million-ounce silver resource in the Camp Creek area. Brixton optioned Hog Haven silver to Ivanhoe Electric (75% earn-in) and Atlan gold to Eldorado Gold (100% earn-in).

David Lotan Shows You How to Make Junior Mining Millions: Aurion & Fox River Buyouts Explained

MiningStockEducation.com

Key Highlights

brief
  • Lotan says Eldorado's takeover of Foran, the Saskatchewan copper-zinc play the market expected to one day be an Agnico asset, was a shot across the bow that pushed would-be acquirers to get moving.
  • He also lists Eldorado as one of the corporates that could have been behind Aurion's anonymously disclosed 7% strategic investor.

Guest David Lotan built most of his Aurion and Fox River stakes buying public shares, arguing open-market bargains beat private deal access. Aurion Resources sold to Agnico Eagle Mines for C$481 million ($2.60 per share cash); Fox River Resources followed at C$94 million ($1.10 per share). Lotan ties the decade-long wait to consolidation among major gold producers; rising mid-tier buying power finally revived takeovers of juniors. The multiyear Aurion-Rupert standoff shows embarrassed, hostile bidders can drag out timelines and destroy value on both sides of a takeover fight. Management teams that refuse warrants (rights to buy future shares cheaply) and protect capital structures earn the investor trust that pays off at exit.

A New Copper Discovery: Visionary Copper and Gold ($VCG | $VCGMF) on the Kraken Zone

A New Copper Discovery: Visionary Copper and Gold ($VCG | $VCGMF) on the Kraken Zone

Investor TV

Key Highlights

detailed
  • Max Porterfield points to Eldorado's takeover of Foran Mining for $3.6 billion — about 60 cents per pound of copper equivalent in the ground — as the valuation case for footwall copper endowment in VMS systems.
  • He notes Eldorado's McIlvenna Bay project is in construction and followed the advanced-exploration-permit-first path Visionary is pursuing in Manitoba, and that Eldorado also gained an in-construction concentrator near Pine Bay with the Foran acquisition.
  • Don Duret calls Foran's takeover by Eldorado an outstanding project and a great ride, and says he hopes Visionary's CEO experiences the same path.

Visionary Copper and Gold's Kraken discovery — a copper stringer zone in Point Leamington's footwall — anchors a plan to more than double its pit-constrained resource. The CEO argues VMS (volcanogenic massive sulfide — seafloor-formed metal deposits) endowment often sits in the footwall stringer zone, not the lens. A roughly 20,000-meter phase two campaign aims to grow Point Leamington from 20 million toward 40-plus million tons while upgrading inferred material to indicated. Management defers economic studies until resource growth and metallurgical work finish, arguing fixed infrastructure should never sit over a future pit extension. The hosts frame the sharp gold and silver correction as a buying opportunity, citing a historical buy-in-November, sell-in-Q1 seasonal pattern.

Amex Exploration – Fully-Funded Pathway Towards Bulk Sample Mining and Production For 2027

Amex Exploration – Fully-Funded Pathway Towards Bulk Sample Mining and Production For 2027

The KE Report

Key Highlights

brief
  • Eldorado maintained its 27% stake by participating about C$20 million in the C$80 million financing completed June 18, 2026, which Cantore reads as continued confidence in Amex's business plan.
  • Cantore estimates Eldorado has put a little over $100 million into the project in total, including roughly $60 million paid for an earlier stake purchase.

A C$80 million oversubscribed financing, with Eldorado Gold keeping its 27% stake, fully funds Amex's C$50 million bulk sample at Perron. Toll milling (paying a nearby plant to process ore) of 40,000 tonnes should yield 23,000-28,000 ounces, repaying the bulk sample's capital. Bulk sample development doubles as Phase 1 infrastructure — the same portal, decline, and ramp — cutting upfront capital for commercial production planned mid-2028. The feasibility study outlines 147,000 ounces annually at a $910 AISC (All-In Sustaining Cost — what it really costs to produce an ounce). A 100,000 meter drill program spans Quebec and Ontario while the renamed Amex Gold Mining transitions from explorer to producer.

The World Is Running Out of Iron Ore — This Company Has The Answer

The World Is Running Out of Iron Ore — This Company Has The Answer

VRIC Media

Key Highlights

brief
  • The guest says the Canada Growth Fund recently invested in a mining company that Eldorado Gold has just acquired, as context for the government funding programs Oceanic is targeting.

Steel demand is shifting toward high-purity iron ore as green-steel pressure grows and major producers mine out high-grade deposits. Transportation is at least half the all-in cost of iron ore, so tidewater access without rail can decide project economics. Direct reduction iron needs about 67% iron content and under 3% silica (impurities that can make steel brittle), a bar few deposits meet. Iron ore prices anchor to a benchmark 62% grade, then add premiums for higher purity and deduct shipping to the customer. The featured Quebec project pairs tidewater access with a 1.4 billion tonne resource and a pre-feasibility study (an updated economic study) due late 2026.

Key Highlights

detailed
  • Eldorado Gold recently acquired the McIlvana Bay project, and the guest argues this brings a much larger, well-capitalised operator to a royalty Evolve bought late last year.
  • Under Eldorado's ownership the guest expects a new regional exploration push and a maiden resource on the Tesla zone later this year.
  • Expansion studies being brought forward under Eldorado could roughly double plant throughput, which the guest says would lift both the duration and magnitude of royalty payments.
  • The Canadian government designated McIlvana Bay as a major nation-building project earlier in 2026, raising the project's visibility.

A copper-focused royalty company with ~$120M market cap, Evolve Royalties expects $5-7M in revenue this year rising to $10M+ next. Highland Valley Copper royalty — on Canada's largest copper mine operated by Teck — anchors Evolve Royalties' portfolio at $2-3M annual cash flow. McIlvana Bay gains under Eldorado Gold ownership, with expansion studies brought forward and a maiden resource on the Tesla zone expected this year. Uis tin in Namibia and Copper Mountain under Hudbay add cash-flow diversification, while Salzales Angeles lithium royalty provides optionality. Evolve's ~$10M cash position and new revolving credit facility position the company to pursue $25-50M royalty acquisitions.

Key Highlights

brief
  • He points to Eldorado Gold as another Abitibi operation likely to have spare capacity, part of the infrastructure behind his new willingness to consider sub-million-ounce deposits.

Rule is buying junior mining explorers now, expecting a rough summer in the gold market to deliver the lower entry prices his watchlist requires. Drill results are landing, yet markets no longer price them in, leaving what he sees as quality discoveries underpriced. He trades the gap between price and value, ignoring pre-market moves and analyst signals that carry no information for him. At-the-market (ATM) programs, which sell stock gradually into the market, give large miners cheaper capital than brokered placements. Small Abitibi deposits now work if their ore can be trucked to existing mills instead of building a plant of their own.

Key Highlights

brief
  • The guest says Brixton recently struck a deal with Eldorado Gold for its Atlin gold claims, with Eldorado as operator because Brixton could not give the project the attention and resources it needed.
  • He says if Eldorado carries Atlin through, Brixton expects something like an $8 million cash injection on an asset where it spent only $2-3 million.

BHP's stake in Brixton is a copper bet. Major discoveries are scarce, so majors pay early for drill results and pipeline access. Langis returned 2,600 ounces per ton silver over half a meter. The 60,000-meter program aims at a first formal resource estimate. About 70% of world silver is a by-product of lead-zinc, gold and copper mines. Primary silver deposits like Langis are rare. The guest sees Langis tailings — waste from 25 ounces-per-ton mining — sampled at 1.5 to 11 ounces per ton as near-term cash. A $4 million top-up leaves roughly $16 million cash, funding 60,000 meters at Langis and 10,000-plus meters at Thorn this year.

Why I'm Bullish on Gold and Silver | Michael Gentile and Jimmy Connor

Jimmy Connor

US debt of $40T refinanced at 5% would push interest expense to $2T a year, so the Fed cannot meaningfully raise rates, supporting gold. The pullback from January's $5,500 spike to roughly $4,500 is a healthy shakeout that flushed speculative longs, not a trend reversal. Gold producers currently price in roughly $3,800 gold and trade at deep discounts to NAV, offering outsized upside if spot holds. A wave of mining M&A is coming as net-cash majors with record free cash flow must replace reserves that have been depleted for a decade. Michael Gentile takes 5-20% early stakes in 30-35 micro-cap juniors, aiming for 20-50x returns as few graduates get acquired by majors.

Assembling good projects when nobody else is bidding, then improving them, is the optionality strategy the interview credits for value creation. Cash plus stakes in US GoldMining and Gold Royalty nearly equal GoldMining Inc.'s market cap, so its 20-million-ounce portfolio trades at little implied value. Seven projects in Canada, Brazil, Colombia and Peru hold over 13 million indicated and 9 million inferred gold-equivalent ounces (metal values restated in gold terms). A PEA (preliminary economic assessment) on the La Mina project in Colombia shows a $1 billion NPV (net present value) at a $2,500 gold price. News flow centers on drilling at San Jorge in Brazil, near G Mining's newly producing mine, with internal economics studies beginning.
