I'm Buying These Gold & Silver Stocks 'Hand Over Fist': John Feneck

I'm Buying These Gold & Silver Stocks 'Hand Over Fist': John Feneck

Commodity Culture
4 days ago 30:57

Key Highlights

detailed
  • The guest expects Americas Gold & Silver to keep doing well under CEO Paul, whom he calls a turnaround artist.
  • He cites it as last year's standout: the stock ran from about $1 to $11, and he sold portions on the way up at around $5 and $9-10.
  • At about $4.20 as of the recording, he says the pullback is why he never gets married to positions, whatever the chat-room hype.

John Feneck says the backdrop for gold and silver has never looked better, and he is buying gold equities hand over fist for leverage. He runs a hub and spoke portfolio, holding ETFs like GDX as the core and selling satellite juniors after 200 to 300 percent gains. He expects a 25 basis point Fed hike on December 9, sees gold support at 3,900 to 4,000 dollars and prefers equities over bullion. His picks span BlackRock Silver, the Silver 47 Bunker Hill merger, Triumph Gold, Western Star tungsten and First Phosphate. Gold miners are 0.1 percent of the investable universe, and he sees potential sector rotation when the tech led bull market changes.

Reopening the McCabe mine through its ventilation raise cuts planned drilling costs about 95% — 60 holes for $200,000 instead of $9.6 million from surface. Arizona Eagle Mining's historic estimate is about 887,000 ounces at 11.7 g/t (grams per tonne), and lower modern cut-off grades should expand it. CEO Kevin Reid says C$5.5 million in cash covers the US$3.7 million underground re-entry budget, with drilling guided for May or June. Phase 1 surface drilling hit two economic intersections in seven wildcat holes, including a zinc-rich VMS (volcanogenic massive sulfide) copper discovery. The panel flags narrow veins, illiquidity and tax-loss season as near-term risks, while insiders hold roughly half the company.

Beaver Creek 2026 - Best Stocks

Beaver Creek 2026 - Best Stocks

Don Durrett
10 days ago 38:24

Key Highlights

detailed
  • Durrett puts the current mill figure at about 1,650 and expects next year's PFS to push that toward 2,000, taking output above 5 million ounces a year.
  • He expects the company to be acquired and puts a value of about $300 million on it, saying he strongly likes the name.
  • He expects production to start in the first half of 2028 and frames the operation as a growth story management aims to take to 10 million ounces.

Gold at $4,100 anchors his buy-the-dip plan: add again below $4,000, and again below $3,700. His Beaver Creek list holds 37 stocks, all rated as tenbaggers (ten-times-plus targets), with seven winners out of ten as the goal. He grades risk-reward by letter and number; near-term producers screen best, while late-stage projects carry more risk. Discovery Silver and Osisko Gold Group lead his Canadian gold picks, and Silver X's 250 million ounce resource lifted the grade. Low insider ownership makes Andean Silver, Talisker and Avino the likeliest takeover targets on his list.

Silver Hammer’s Strategy Positions Company as a Global Silver Player

Silver Hammer’s Strategy Positions Company as a Global Silver Player

Key Highlights

brief
  • Ball describes Silver Hammer's 360-acre Fahey position in Idaho as strategically located next door to Americas Gold & Silver's Sunshine operation, run by Paul Hewitt and Dr. Tom Kaplan.

Eric Sprott is both seller and backer: he controls about 60% of vendor Stroud Resources and is lead order in Silver Hammer's $10 million raise. About $5 million funds 7,000 metres at Santo Domingo in Mexico, targeting a PEA (Preliminary Economic Assessment — an early economics study) within 18 months. US assets offer nearer-term catalysts: Silver Strand is permitted for small-scale underground production, and Nevada's LISA may host an unseen gold zone. In Morocco, the team cites an operating, permitted processing facility and stockpile purchases, targeting cash flow in under 12 months. An incoming Sprott-side team — chairman Jeff Kennedy, VP Scott Jobin-Bevans, director Connor O'Brien — joins about $13 million in cash with no debt.

This 100-Year-Old Silver Mine Keeps Getting Bigger | Oliver Turner - Americas Gold and Silver

The Deep Dive
15 days ago 6:04

Key Highlights

detailed
  • The guest says the company's two operating mines, Galena in northern Idaho and the Kosala primary silver mine in Mexico (mining the EC120 deposit), are building a combined silver production profile of 3.2 to 3.6 million ounces this year (2026).
  • Galena holds over 200 million ounces of silver resource at an average grade of about 500 g/t silver, pure silver grades rather than silver-equivalent, which the guest ranks easily top-five, if not top-three, among the world's silver mines.
  • In-mine exploration next to existing infrastructure has produced six new discoveries in the last 12 months, with intercepts of multiple meters up to 1 kg silver, including half a meter of 7 kg silver in a brand-new vein system hit while cross-cutting ground where no veins were expected.
  • The assets were capital-starved for about 10 years before the current team took over in early 2025, and the guest says newly deployed exploration and development capital is what is delivering the recent results.
  • Over the next 12 months the guest points to continued de-bottlenecking at Galena, with the shaft fully upgraded, the mining method being reworked to improve muck handling, ramping tonnages and more high-grade drill results.

Turner says a decade of capital starvation ended in 2025; new exploration money at Galena has already produced six new high-grade discoveries. Galena is one of the world's highest-grade silver mines — about 500 g/t (grams of silver per tonne) — with more than 200 million ounces. A renegotiated smelter contract now pays for all byproducts, and a planned antimony leaching facility with US Antimony should lift recoveries further. The guest points to de-bottlenecking (clearing production constraints) at Galena as what to watch, targeting 3.2 to 3.6 million silver ounces this year.

Mercado's 25-hole, 3,000-metre summer program at Copolito extended cumulative vein strike from 8 km to 11 km with multiple open high-grade targets. A new 1,100-metre Renata vein discovery at Copolito and an undrilled 750-metre La Franca-Campanillas corridor at Zamora expand the pipeline. Zamora surface grab samples returned 14.5 kg/t silver and 15.5 g/t gold from a project that has never been drilled. Restoring ~3,000 Zamora hectares to good standing in early 2027 is the gating step before first-hole drilling there. Visla is named as a strategic investor from last year's financing, helping anchor Mercado's roughly 76 million shares outstanding.

Doc & Dana Lyons - Technical Setups: Gold, Silver, GDX, Copper, Oil, Uranium, Bond, Value Stocks

The KE Report

Key Highlights

detailed
  • Doc singles out Americas Gold & Silver for its antimony exposure, citing the antimony play itself as a primary reason for liking the stock.
  • He cites his own position as evidence of conviction, saying he bought shares down around $0.50 while the stock now trades near $5 — gains he does not want to risk by selling.
  • The hosts categorize the company as a mid-tier silver producer that should benefit early from higher metals prices before rotating capital into more speculative juniors.

Richard Postma reads the precious-metals rebound as a temporary bounce within a corrective phase, with $4000 gold and unfilled chart gaps as the next test. Postma ties the medium-term gold outlook to a bearish bond-market setup, citing the convergence of the 50-month and 200-month moving averages. Dana Lyons flipped long GLD from a short but stays neutral on silver and miners until price reclaims the 200-day and 50-week resistance. Lyons remains bullish copper and copper miners, framing COPX's pattern as a continuation pennant with only about 38% of the prior rally retraced. Lyons' portfolio is overweight healthcare and financials and is actively trimming growth, momentum, and semiconductor exposure as leadership rotates.

Key Highlights

brief
  • John tells Silver 47 to talk to Paul Hewitt at America's Gold and Silver, noting the company started crediting antimony in its model as of January 2026
  • Don argues USAS's antimony and copper credits helped propel the stock from roughly $1 to about $10 last year

A 22-cent EV per ounce on Silver47 Exploration's 246M silver-equivalent ounces screens 2-10x below peers like Blackrock Silver, framing a clear valuation gap. The CEO argues most ounces are inferred, but three high-grade US projects (Red Mountain, Hughes, Mogollon) underpin a 1B-oz aspiration and a 2027 PEA. With $45M Canadian in working capital and four rigs running, Silver47 plans roughly 20,000 meters of 2026 drilling across Alaska, Nevada, and New Mexico. Co-hosts Don Duret and John Fenwick frame a deep correction in US silver developers as a contrarian bottom-fishing setup before a potential second leg up. Near-term producers like 1911 Gold, Denarius, and LaHontan anchor a broader US silver thesis alongside Silver47, all riding a bipartisan critical-mineral policy tailwind.

Delta Gold Technologies ($DGQ | $DGQTF) CEO on Gold's Role in Quantum Computing

Investor TV

Key Highlights

brief
  • The host cites USAS as a textbook momentum round-trip: from about $1 last spring to over $10 on huge volume, then down more than 60% from the peak to around $4 as of the interview.
  • He says investors who chased it near $10 are now left deciding whether management ('Paul') can get the stock back to $10.

Delta Gold's CEO argues gold's electron spins could enable a new qubit design, with patents filed by University of Toronto and Penn State. The company holds exclusive licenses to university patents, funds one million dollars per university yearly, and targets 2028 for partnership talks. Qubit error rates remain the bottleneck: today's best run one error per 6.5 million operations, a billion times less stable than a laptop. Hosts urge junior-mining investors to expect losing half on any stock, diversify broadly, and judge holdings over years, not single quarters. Don Durrett calls the venture a roll-your-dice bet: the R&D and patents are done, but whether it becomes a computer is unproven.

Investor TV

Key Highlights

brief
  • The hosts recall the stock trading around $1 for weeks before topping $10 within one calendar year, citing it as proof a quality name can double fast in a mania market.
  • They say they still like Paul, the company's leader, and note the shares have since moderated considerably.

Mineros S.A. trades at 0.47 times net asset value (what its mines and cash are worth) despite a tenfold share-price re-rating under Sun Valley control. Sun Valley Investments deployed about $200 million to take control, then doubled silver recovery and lifted gold output 22% through operational fixes. Guidance rose to 240,000 ounces with costs tracking below plan, and the CEO targets 500,000 ounces by 2030 via the Porvenir project and acquisitions. An upsized $175 million buyback and $30 million dividend program return cash, while a strategic gold reserve keeps bullion in company vaults. Analyst Don Durrett argues quality mid-tier gold producers are the sweet spot, and Mineros still offers tenfold upside on his $7,000 gold assumption.

Key Highlights

detailed
  • The speaker says Americas Gold & Silver is down about 65% from its all-time high and still sees it as a growth story.
  • He credits a strong management team and assets in Idaho and Mexico.
  • It is one of his core 'undervalued producer with growth' names, alongside Avino, though he notes two mines still need to be built on top of the mine currently being expanded.

He reviews 50 gold and silver mining stocks he owns, sizing the upside against $7,000 gold and $200 silver. Most of the list screens as an eight-bagger or better, and he favors undervalued producers growing output. Development names need patience: permits plus roughly two-year builds push many payoffs to 2028 and beyond. He cautions that gold and silver mining stocks are speculative, so keep allocations small and only risk what you can lose.

🚨 Eric Sprott: Why Silver Stocks Could Outperform #shorts

🚨 Eric Sprott: Why Silver Stocks Could Outperform #shorts

Sprott Money

Key Highlights

brief
  • Sprott says he has sold some of his Americas Gold & Silver (USAS) shares over time, using the stock being added to an index as the moment to do it.
  • He explains that index inclusion gave him liquidity he otherwise would not have, because his own selling as a large holder would pressure the market.

Eric Sprott expects silver mining stocks to outperform the precious metals sector and would buy them first as capital flows in. Silver ETFs (funds holding baskets of silver miners) give broad sector exposure, which Sprott prefers over picking a single company. Long-term conviction is central to his strategy: he keeps significant positions for years and is rarely a seller. Index inclusion creates selling liquidity for large holders whose own sales would otherwise pressure the market, Sprott notes.

  • The guest names Americas Gold & Silver as one of his two preferred silver names, saying CEO Paul Hewitt told him he has 93% of his net worth in the stock.
  • He credits Hewitt with fixing what he sees as the company's earlier problem, a lack of a clear plan, and says the copper and antimony byproducts that used to weigh on the shares are helping as of January 1.
  • He describes the company as roughly 90% silver and counts it among the producers and near-term producers he likes.

China, Russia and North Korea control roughly 85% of global tungsten, and the US has produced none since 2015. China's January 1 cutoff of Japanese tungsten shows how fragile allied supply chains have become. Nevada projects lead domestic tungsten options; Western Star reports grades above 3% versus 0.3% for the average junior. The guest calls the 25% to 30% precious metals pullback a buying opportunity, with silver holding 60 and gold 4,000. His names include Power Metallic, Silverco, Americas Gold & Silver, Triumph Gold, Norsemont and Eastport Critical.

Paul Huet, CEO and Chairman of Americas Gold and Silver | Rule Symposium 2026: Rick Rule interviews

Rule Investment Media

Key Highlights

detailed
  • CEO Paul Huet says the company eliminated $85 million of debt in the week before the interview - Eric Sprott converted his entire position into equity and a $40 million Royal Gold gold stream was cleared - leaving it sitting on $100 million.
  • Huet says that in just over 12 months the team has made eight new drill discoveries, grown M&I resources by 19% with grades up 21%, and outlined about 220 million ounces of silver (M&I plus inferred), excluding the newly acquired Crescent mine.
  • Huet says Galena's shaft capacity has tripled for about $8 million, both phases of main-shaft work are complete, a second shaft should be moving rock by the end of 2026, and the district can reach 5 million ounces of silver a year, with a path to 5-10 million.
  • Huet says the newly bought Crescent mine - historically the district's highest grade at about 1 kilogram per ton - is already being drilled, with test tons feeding the mill and stope development resuming later in 2026.
  • Huet says nine long hole stopes mined last year delivered Galena's best grades in two decades (about 470 g/t average, among the world's highest), and a paste fill plant expected by late 2026 or early 2027 should cut stope fill cycles from about two weeks to 24-36 hours.

The guest credits a repeatable playbook — consolidate assets, fix management and mining method, restore capital — for two prior companies sold at large gains. Long-hole stoping (a bulk mining method replacing hand-held jacklegs) cut stope cycles from 12 months to 26 days, the speaker says, without diluting grade. Heap leaching ore that needs milling — skipping mill capital — plugged the pad and cut recoveries, a failure mode the speaker calls well known. The CEO reports M&I resources (measured and indicated — the more certain categories) up 19% with grades up 21% since his team arrived. The CEO says eliminating $85 million of debt — Eric Sprott's silver loan converted to equity plus a retired gold stream — restores balance-sheet strength.

Key Highlights

brief
  • Don says he added Americas Gold & Silver to his nine-stock silver producer list over the weekend before the recording, noting it has grown to about a $2 billion market cap and is now big enough for the group.
  • The host points to CEO Paul Hewitt's conviction, saying 93% of Hewitt's personal money is invested in USAS stock.

PyroDelta's thermoelectric generators (solid-state devices that turn waste heat into electricity) need only a 20°C differential and run 24/7. First Tellurium (CSE: FTEL), which management calls the world's only tellurium-focused company, owns 83% of PyroDelta plus a high-grade British Columbia project. Acceptance into DARPA's Lift Challenge (Dayton, Ohio, August 2) brings prize potential and introductions to defense primes and drone-delivery buyers. Durrett argues small silver producers gain huge margin above $200 silver, though he cautions developers take years and often disappoint before paying off. Co-hosts note 131 million shares out with roughly 35% in friendly hands, giving the 11-cent junior room to move on DARPA news.

  • The CEO says the company grew production 50% last year and is targeting another 30% growth this year, as of the April 2026 interview.
  • The company has hired Bain, the same expert group credited with the neighbouring Lucky Friday mine's turnaround, and they have been on site for one month working with the senior team.
  • The company is adopting the same long-hole mining method (UBC) that the neighbouring Lucky Friday mine adopted during its turnaround.
  • The CEO emphasizes no shortcuts, providing the right equipment, and staying focused on narrow vein mining, where the company is strongest.

Americas Gold and Silver is betting that disciplined narrow-vein mining and outside expertise, not shortcuts, will create lasting value. The CEO points to the neighbouring Lucky Friday mine, which hired outside experts and a new mining method to lift performance. The same consultants are now on site with the senior team; management reports 50% growth last year and 30% this year.

Don Durrett & John Feneck Interview Mayfair Gold ($MFG | $MINE) on Building a Mine in Ontario

Investor TV

Key Highlights

detailed
  • Don Durrett ranks Americas Gold & Silver among the undervalued silver producers best set up right now, a five-bagger-plus candidate in his view alongside Avino and Santacruz.
  • He highlights the Galena mine's ~200 million ounces at ~400 g/t with three shafts (only one in use), and says he values the company on doubled production of ~7 million ounces a year versus CEO Paul Hewitt's 10-million-ounce target.
  • John Feneck calls recently interviewed CEO Paul Hewitt a great turnaround artist with 93% of his personal net worth in the stock, backed by Eric Sprott and a couple hundred million dollars raised.
  • Feneck argues the company is in an enviable position because earlier operators mined lead and zinc while leaving silver in the ground, and he says about 90% of its revenue now comes from silver.

Mayfair Gold is permitting a 4,800 tonne-per-day starter pit at Fenn-Gib provincially, cutting years off the federal route to first production. Projects under 5,000 tonnes per day permit provincially in Ontario, avoiding a federal review where no new (greenfield) mine has won approval since 2019. Management guides to a sub-$1,200 AISC (All-In Sustaining Cost — the full cost to produce an ounce) and first gold in 2030. Staying small preserves optionality: regional high-grade and underground tonnes can sweeten mill feed (raise average grade) without expanding throughput or new federal permits. Don Durrett favors undervalued, leveraged silver producers while John Fenwick argues war headlines, not fundamentals, gate gold's next move.

  • CEO Paul Huet says company-wide silver production rose 50% in 2025 to 2.5Moz and is stepping up another 30% this year to a 3.6Moz run-rate by Q4 2026, en route to 5Moz and a longer-term target toward 10Moz with Crescent added.
  • Galena's latest resource lifted measured and indicated ounces by 19% with grades up 21%, putting the complex near 200Moz silver, and the company published its first-ever reserve statement with annual August updates promised as drilling scales from 5,000m to 46,000m (3-4 drills to 10).
  • The balance sheet ended 2025 with roughly $130M US (about C$160M) in cash plus a $50M undrawn facility, and management says it will not raise equity this year.
  • Its antimony JV with US Antimony turned a smelter penalty into market-price payment as of January 2026, with a new Idaho plant (51/49 split, roughly $50M cost, USAS putting up $26M) starting construction this year, and government Project Vault price protection seen as upside Huet says the market currently values at zero.
  • The newly acquired Crescent Mine is coming online — drilling starting, ore from drifting now and stoping expected by Q4 2026 once secondary egress is complete — while the main shaft's capacity is being tripled from about 40 to 110 tons per hour.

CEO Paul Andre Huet says the turnaround is on track: silver output stepped up 50% and targets a 3.6 million ounce run rate by year end. Huet reports Galena's measured and indicated resource — the higher-confidence categories — rose 19%, with grades up 21%, past 200 million silver ounces. Huet describes a US Antimony joint venture that turns previously penalized antimony into revenue, with an Idaho plant backed by price protection. Don Durrett frames gold and the S&P 500 as a 'final battle' gold will win, urging investors to stay invested and buy dips. With about $130 million US in cash and no planned equity raise, management says drilling at Galena, Crescent, and Cosala will be funded from operations.

Key Highlights

brief
  • The host really likes Americas Gold & Silver, calling it steady growth and a producer that prints as a 10-bagger.

Raising default price assumptions to $7,000 gold and $200 silver reflects conviction that current metal prices undershoot the macro setup. Screening 90 favorite miners at those prices prints 20-plus-bagger upside for many, but most need three-to-four-year mine builds first. Near-term producers like Guanajuato Silver need no new growth, so they offer immediate leverage if silver reaches $200. A gold-silver ratio squeeze toward 2.5-3% underpins the $175-200 silver target alongside $7,000 gold within 24-36 months. Timeline to getting paid is the key filter: the longer a mine build, the longer investors must wait for the printed upside.

Key Highlights

brief
  • Don is really excited about Americas Gold and Silver as a growth story: it has three shafts in Idaho and is only using one, plus the Crescent mine.
  • He argues you want to own producers that are growth stories, and says this one definitely is.

Durrett argues there is limited time left to buy gold and silver producers while they are still cheap, expecting one more significant dip. His Newsletter Favorites list leans on quality Canadian and Australian mid-tier producers, which he expects to re-rate as the bull market warms up. Companies whose second and third projects get no market value offer free upside — you pay for the first asset and get the rest for nothing. Cheap forward free-cash-flow multiples persist in West Africa and among silver producers, where weak sentiment discounts heavy leverage to metal prices. Australian producers like Ramelius reaching major-sized valuations is, in his view, the first sign the junior gold bull market is broadening.

Americas Gold and Silver: six new silver discoveries at Galena — and antimony now pays

Oliver Turner tells The Deep Dive the team that took over Americas Gold and Silver in early 2025 is funding exploration the assets lacked for a decade — and claims six new silver discoveries at Galena in twelve months. The two operating mines target 3.2–3.6 million ounces of silver this year; a planned leaching facility with US Antimony aims to lift byproduct payabilities.
