Brad Rourke
President & CEO | Scottie Resources Corp. | Junior gold explorer leading Golden Triangle redevelopment
"Leading Scottie Resources' redevelopment of the past-producing Scottie Gold Mine in BC's Golden Triangle."
Biography
Brad Rourke is the President, CEO, and Director of Scottie Resources Corp. (TSXV: SCOT | OTC: SCTSF), a junior miner that has spent nearly a decade rebuilding the past-producing Scottie Gold Mine in British Columbia's Golden Triangle — one of the highest-grade gold districts in North America. He took over leadership of the company in 2017 and has since steered it through large-scale land consolidation, multiple drill campaigns, and a 27,309-metre 2025 drill program aimed at advancing the project toward a maiden resource estimate.
Rourke is a professional geoscientist (P.Geo.) who holds a Bachelor of Science in Geological Sciences from the University of British Columbia and brings more than 15 years of mining industry experience, including prior senior roles at the Brucejack gold project and the Silvertip mine. That background — hands-on geology at world-class B.C. assets before moving into the executive chair — is what shapes how Scottie prioritizes drill targets and tells the resource story.
His approach at Scottie is geology-led and high-grade focused: the company drills targets around the historic Scottie Gold Mine workings and the surrounding Blueberry, Cambria, D-1, and Domino zones, where past intercepts have included visible-gold-bearing quartz-sulfide veins typical of the Golden Triangle. For a mining-stock investor, the practical work is to follow Rourke's drill program releases closely; Scottie's share-price reaction has historically tracked assay headlines out of these zones more than any other signal.
The limits of the record are worth flagging: Scottie remains an exploration-stage junior, and Rourke is principally an operating CEO rather than a public-market commentator. Investors should weight his updates on permits, drill results, and treasury against the standard junior-mining diligence checklist rather than read him as a market strategist.

Scottie Resources – First High-grade Gold Assay Results From The 52,000 Metre 2026 Drill Program
- Top takeaway The guest argues the company is a special-situation undervalued at roughly $250M, pointing to a 50,000m drill program plus a feasibility study and updated MRE due in about 10 months, and a path to production roughly a year out.
- The guest cites last season's bulk sample — 4,600 tons at 14.5 g/t, hand-sorted, yielding about $9M in profit — as proof of concept for the gravel-quarry-style crushing and sorting process shipped via Ocean Partners.
- The guest says the 2026 program is three-pronged: upgrade inferred to indicated for the feasibility study, expand known veins (notably at depth at Blueberry), and roughly 15,000m on step-outs and new targets, with deep holes already drilled at Domino awaiting assays.
- The guest outlines that mine engineering is done, the environmental baseline is over halfway complete, IBA work with the Nisga'a and Skii km Lax Ha is progressing, and a JAPA permit (following Ascot's precedent) should enable 2028 production, with underground permits already secured for the Scotty mine.
Scottie's first 2026 drill assays from the Blueberry Contact Zone returned 9.7 g/t gold over 18 m, plus 26.2 g/t over 2.45 m in another hole. Eight diamond drills have completed about 44,000 metres so far, on track for 52,000-56,000 m within the original 50,000 m budget. The three-pronged 2026 program targets inferred-to-indicated upgrades, vein expansion, and step-out drilling to feed a 2027 feasibility study and 2028 production. A 2025 bulk sample proof of concept returned 4,600 tons at 14.5 g/t gold, validating the direct-ship-ore strategy with Ocean Partners ahead of mill build-out. Environmental baseline work is more than 50% complete and the First Nations IBA is advancing; a JAPA permit application follows the feasibility study.
