David Russell

R. David Russell is a seasoned mining executive with over three decades of experience in the mineral exploration and development industry. He is best known as the founder and former CEO of Apollo Gold Corporation, a Denver-based gold mining company that operated projects in Montana and Mexico. Under his leadership, Apollo Gold advanced multiple gold properties through exploration and into production, giving Russell firsthand experience in the full mine lifecycle—from grassroots discovery through operational mining.
