"VP of Operations at Omai Gold Mines Corp., driving the Wenot and Gilt Creek PEA in Guyana"

Mining Executive

Biography

Jason Brewster is Vice President of Operations at Omai Gold Mines Corp. (TSXV: OMG), where he leads the operational and technical work behind the company's flagship Omai Gold Property in Guyana — the site of the updated Preliminary Economic Assessment (PEA) covering the Wenot and Gilt Creek deposits that he walks through in his public video reviews.

A mining engineer by training, Brewster brings more than 25 years of international experience across exploration, operations, and project development. His career has spanned work in Cuba, Morocco, Brazil, and Spain, giving him direct exposure to a range of geologic settings and project stages from grassroots exploration through to production-side operations.

At Omai, Brewster has been central to translating the 2024 PEA — which contemplated an open-pit-only development on Wenot — into the broader mine plan now under study. He has accompanied the independent Qualified Person on site visits to the Wenot and Gilt Creek areas as the company prepared its NI 43-101 technical report supporting the updated mineral resource estimate, and his name appears on the company's filings as the operational point of contact for those disclosures.

For resource investors, Brewster matters because he is the operator who has to make the numbers in the PEA work in the field. His commentary tends to focus on the practical trade-offs of pit sequencing, throughput, and the inclusion of the Gilt Creek underground potential alongside the open-pit Wenot ounces — the kind of execution detail that moves a junior gold developer from study to construction.
