Jason Leikam
CEO & Director | Omega Pacific Resources | Base & Precious Metals Explorer
"Leading Omega Pacific Resources and advocating for silver as a core portfolio allocation in the junior mining space"
Biography
Jason Leikam is a mining executive and natural resource entrepreneur who serves as Chief Executive Officer and Director of Omega Pacific Resources Inc. (TSXV: OMGA), a Canadian mineral exploration company focused on base and precious metals projects. With a career spanning multiple private and publicly listed early-stage resource ventures, Leikam has positioned himself as a hands-on leader in the junior mining sector, particularly in British Columbia's prolific mineral belts.
Since mid-2019, Leikam has been an outspoken advocate for silver, aggressively acquiring assets he viewed as undervalued with strong silver exposure. He has publicly described his conviction in the white metal as at times feeling like "a lonely stance" — but one he believes markets will ultimately validate. His technical market analysis includes identifying what he has called one of the largest cup-and-handle formations in his career in the silver space, demonstrating a blend of macro commodity conviction and chart-based timing that appeals to resource investors.
Prior to leading Omega Pacific, Leikam held the role of CEO and Director at MetGas Industries Limited and currently serves as Vice President of Business Development for EnviroMetal Technologies Inc., a precious metal recovery technology company entering commercialization. This dual exposure — to both the exploration upside of junior miners and the clean-tech side of sustainable resource recovery — gives Leikam a differentiated perspective on where the mining industry is heading.
Under Leikam's leadership, Omega Pacific has pursued a strategy of acquiring high-potential copper-gold and precious metals projects in Canada, including the Williams property in British Columbia. He has presented at multiple Metals Investor Forums alongside respected resource analysts like Eric Coffin, signaling his acceptance within the tight-knit community of mining investment professionals. His frequent use of the "Lifecycle of a Mine" framework in presentations and interviews reflects a commitment to educating investors on the realities of mineral exploration and development.
