Nick Shakesby is a senior mining executive with more than 30 years of operational and project leadership experience across underground mining operations globally. His career has been defined by a strong focus on Mexico and Latin America, where he has developed deep expertise in managing complex polymetallic and precious metal mines in challenging geological and operating environments.

Prior to joining Luca Mining Corp as Chief Operating Officer effective April 1, 2026, Shakesby served as Chief Executive Officer of COMINVI S.A., a Mexico-based mining services and operations company. His extensive hands-on experience in underground mining operations has given him a practical, results-driven approach to mine optimization—precisely the skill set Luca Mining sought as it works to expand and improve performance at its two producing mines in Mexico.

Luca Mining operates the Campo Morado polymetallic mine and the Tahuehueto gold-silver mine, both located in Mexico. Under Shakesby's operational leadership, the company aims to execute on mine optimization initiatives that could meaningfully improve throughput, recovery rates, and cost efficiencies.
